With a couple hour drive out of the way back to Atlanta, the final coaster stop of the Southeast visit was to Fun Spot America – Atlanta. This is a park that had been recently acquired by the Fun Spot America chain that is based in Central Florida. The selection of rides and attractions at the park is quite similar to the other two parks in Florida, with go-karts and carnival style rides. One thing that did stand out about this place was that in some areas it felt a bit empty, but since it seemed to have a similar number of attractions to the two parks they own in Florida, it signifies that they have a lot of space to work with for additions they can make to the park in the future.  The park’s only coaster, Screamin’ Eagle, comes from Miler. While this coaster is not the largest in the state, it still offers surprise airtime in several of the drops through the course along with some tight turns that are similar to those of a wild mouse style coaster. While a coaster like this may be overlooked at many other larger parks, here at Fun Spot this is a real highlight of the park.  After visiting Fun Spot, I made my way back into Atlanta for dinner with a friend, and then it was time to head back to the Atlanta airport for the flight to Philadelphia, where my friend Phillip and I would be getting ready for our mystery adventure.   And that is the end of this visit to the Southeast. There were a ton of fun coasters ridden between Georgia, Alabama and Florida, and some great experiences between the Martin Luther King Historic Park as well as the facilities of the Equal Justice Initiative. I appreciated getting to visit Alabama for the first time, and plan to come back in the future as there are still other experiences to have.
