9/26/2020 Part 5: The Wedding - March 7, 2020There was one reason for the twenty plus of us to be on this cruise, and that was for the wedding of Chelsea Guy and Jay Friesner, a couple who met while navigating the waters of the World Famous Jungle Cruise as Skippers of the popular Disney World Attraction. Chelsea had asked me if I would be willing to help with filming the ceremony by bringing my DSLR Camera, and of course I was happy to oblige. But I had an idea during my morning walk that I wanted to offer to Chelsea since she was covering her wedding in depth on her blog. While wandering around Nassau, I discovered that my phone was getting signal in the Bahamas since I have an international plan with T-Mobile, and a lightbulb went off in my head that I could let her log onto Facebook with her account on my phone if she wanted to live-stream it on her Twenty Something in Orlando page. When I went to ask her if she was interested in doing it, she said she liked the idea, but didn't want something else to worry about, and thanked me for the suggestion as she went back to preparing for the ceremony. Well, I took a bit of liberty with her answer, and decided to stream it on my personal Facebook profile with her and Jay tagged so that anyone they knew who couldn't make it could still see it in real-time if they wished to. The quality of the stream was a bit spotty because of the limited signal, but it gave folks like Jay's brother a chance to witness it even though they couldn't make it, and it gave the couple a chance to watch it while on their honeymoon before going through all of the pictures and videos everyone took when they returned. Speaking of videos, because my phone was occupied with streaming the ceremony, and my DSLR was helping to film it, I didn't take any pictures myself from it, but when I got home, before sending Chelsea the video files, I took a bit more liberty to create a video from before the ceremony, the ceremony itself, and during the wedding picture session. So for sharing the ceremony experience, here is the video that I made from the footage I had, along with borrowing some pictures from Jay and Chelsea to make it... And that was the wedding of Jay Friesner and Chelsea Guy. To wrap this part of the trip report, I'd like to just say again Congratulations to the both of you Chelsea and Jay! It was an honor to be able to help in recording these cherished memories, and this was an experience that I will always hold dear to my heart! Best wishes to you both my friends, and my your time together be filled with good health and happiness together! Bonus: The Bride's Point of View for this experience: Day 4 - Part 2: The Wedding |
