Part 1: Exploring Around Atlanta
The first part of the trip, we head over to Atlanta and explore the Martin Luther King National Historic Park, and make stops at FunXcess and the North Georgia State Fair for the first roller coasters of the trip.

Part 2: Montgomery and the Gulf Coast
The Southeast visit heads into a new state, Alabama! Highlights of this day include the Legacy Museum and the Peace and Justice Memorial in Montgomery, which is then followed by a few stops near the Gulf Coast for several roller coasters.

Part 3: More Alabama Coasters
The Southeast visit continues in Alabama with the state's newest park, OWA, and then continues with a drive to the North for a stop at Southern Adventures in Huntsville, and a visit to the Morgan County Fair in Decatur.

Part 4: Lake Winnepesaukah
On the last day of the Southeast visit, a stop is made at one of the most anticipated parks of the trip, Lake Winnepesaukah in Rossville, GA, home to a number of great classic attractions such as the Cannon Ball Wooden Coaster and the old mill style Boat Chute.

A look at the end of the Southeast visit with the drive back to Atlanta to visit Fun Spot America - Atlanta, and then it's time to head to the Atlanta airport for the flight to Philadelphia.

Where are Gary and Phillip Going?
Gary arrives to Philadelphia to meet up with his friend Phillip to make their way to an unknown destination! Before the flight, however, there is time to kill at the Philadelphia Airport.

Part 1: A Day in Zurich
Gary and Phillip are off to Europe as they fly to Zurich, Switzerland. Upon arrival, they go for a walk to explore the historic Swiss city, and then go on a walking tour of the older parts of the city.

Part 2: Oktoberfest
The duo take a beautiful bus ride to Munich, Germany to attend one of the city's biggest festivals, Oktoberfest! See some of the highlights for Gary and Phillip's evening at the popular beer festival, including wondering through the large beer halls and riding some great traveling roller coasters!

Part 3: An Unexpected London Visit
As the flights to get back home to the states are looking really full, Gary and Phillip head their separate ways, with Gary's trip taking an unexpected stop in the United Kingdom by way of London.

2018 Mexico Trip

Part 1: The Journey South
The start of another Coasting with Culture adventure! This time it's off to Mexico, and the trip begins with a few flights to get to Monterrey.

Part 2: A Day in Monterrey
The first full day in Mexico includes a visit to one of Monterrey's former industrial areas-turned city park, and then get into the first theme parks of the trip with Parque Plaza Sesamo and Bosque Magico.

Part 3: More Mexican Coasters
After a day in Monterrey, it was time to head to Guadalajara, and upon arrival, a road trip was taken in the hear of Mexico to visit two off-the-beaten-path parks in Morelia and León.
|
|
Part 4: Exploring Guadalajara
After driving around Mexico, it was time for some exploring in Guadalajara to enjoy the central part of the city.
|
|
Part 5: Looking for Guadalajara Coasters
After exploring the heart of Guadalajara, it's time to find some roller coasters around town visiting a couple of smaller amusement parks and a local major festival.
|
|
Part 6: Selva Magica
The next day in Mexico begins with the best amusement park in Jalisco, and with one of the most intense roller coasters ever experienced!

Part 7: A Night of Lucha Libre
For the last evening in Guadalajara, it's time to enjoy a tradition of Mexico in the form of the Mexican style of professional wrestling known as Lucha Libre, and this show is held in one of the most historic venues for the sport.
|
|
Part 8: Cancun
The next stop in Mexico is Cancun, and the overall experience of this short visit is a bit a of mixed bag due to some early experiences with the Cancun hustle, but as the stay continues, it offers some great cultural opportunities and great sights.

|
For the rest of the trip in Mexico, it's time to go back to Mexico City, and after arriving to the last hotel of the trip, there would be food, exploration and another Mexican coaster!

Part 10: Día de los Muertos Parade
To begin the festivities of Día de los Muertos for this visit to Mexico, Gary heads to Plaza Reforma in Mexico City to see the Día de los Muertos parade.

Part 11: La Feria Chapultepec Megico
The Mexico trip continues to one of the main amusement parks of Mexico City, for enjoying some great coasters including one of the only moibus style wooden coasters in the world.

|
Part 12: Six Flags Mexico
The next park of the Mexico Trip is to one of the best of the Six Flags chain, and that is Six Flags Mexico! See some of the best coasters in Mexico, as well as some of the highlights of their Halloween event, Festival del Terror!

Part 13: ¡Kataplum!
The final amusement park of the Mexico Trip that was a surprise addition to the trip, as it was not slated to be open during this trip. See what Mexico's newest park has to offer!

Part 14: Día de los Muertos in Mixquic
The last stop of the visit to Mexico heads to San Andres Mixqic for the festivities of Día de los Muertos. Here visitors get to see many of the traditions of the holidays including the decorating of the graves and the alleyways and side streets of town, as well as a market to enjoy food and souvenirs.
